heal.abstract	Στην παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία αναπτύσσονται τα στάδια της συντήρησης ενός αναθηματικού ανάγλυφου από Πεντελικό μάρμαρο. Πρόκειται για το υπ’ αριθμόν 2409 + 2401 + 2672 + Χ.Α. ανάγλυφο, το οποίο προέρχεται από την Ακρόπολη Αθηνών. Παράλληλα, γίνεται μια εκτενής αναφορά στα υλικά και στις μεθόδους συντήρησης, από τα πιο παλαιά έως τα πιο σύγχρονα. Κάθε ένα από τα τρία κεφάλαια έχει χωριστεί σε δύο μέρη Α. και Β., με το πρώτο μέρος να περιέχει γενικά στοιχεία που αφορούν στο θέμα του εκάστοτε κεφαλαίου και το δεύτερο να αναφέρεται ειδικά στο ανάγλυφο 2409 + 2401 + 2672 + Χ.Α.. Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο, στο μέρος Α. προσεγγίζεται βιβλιογραφικά η έννοια του ανάγλυφου, ενώ στο μέρος Β. γίνεται η βασική περιγραφή του ανάγλυφου 2409 + 2401 + 2672 + Χ.Α.. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο, το μέρος Α. αναφέρεται στους μηχανισμούς διάβρωσης-φθοράς του Πεντελικού μαρμάρου, στις επεμβάσεις και στα υλικά συντήρησής του, στην τεχνολογία και τις τεχνικές κατεργασίας του. Στο μέρος Β. καταγράφεται η κατάσταση διατήρησης του ανάγλυφου 2409 + 2401 + 2672 + Χ.Α.. Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο στο μέρος Α., αναπτύσσονται η έννοια και οι αρχές της συντήρησης, ενώ αναφέρονται τα στάδια μιας τυπικής επέμβασης σε ένα λίθο. Στο μέρος Β. τα στάδια αυτά αναλύονται ένα προς ένα, έχοντας σαν σημείο αναφοράς την επέμβαση στο ανάγλυφο 2409 + 2401 + 2672 + Χ.Α.. Έπειτα ακολουθούντα Συμπεράσματα της εργασίας, το Παράρτημα Πινάκων, ένα Επίμετρο με γενικές πληροφορίες για το Πεντελικό μάρμαρο και η Βιβλιογραφία.	el
heal.abstract	The theme of the present thesis is the conservation and restoration of an attic votive relief made of Pentelic marble, from the Acropolis of Athens, Greece. The relief comes under the serial number 2409 + 2401 + 2672 + Χ.Α. (Χ.Α. = No Numbering) and its conservation procedure took place during the writers’ 6month-period of practical training in the conservation laboratory of the Acropolis museum. At the same time, the project presents a thorough analysis of the materials and methods of marble conservation used during history, from the oldest to the most contemporary. Each of the three chapters is divided into two parts, part A. and part B. Part A. focuses on exploring and explaining the relevant theory, whereas part B. is particularly related to the analysis of the relief 2409 + 2401 + 2672 + Χ.Α.. In part A. of the first chapter, the notion of a relief is explicitly analyzed based on the findings of the extant literature. Part B. presents a detailed description of the relief 2409 + 2401 + 2672 + Χ.Α.. In chapter two, part A. describes the mechanisms of erosion and decay of the Pentelic marble, the interventions, the materials and technology used for its conservation and its working techniques. Part B., describes the relief’s 2409 + 2401 + 2672 + Χ.Α. conservation state. In chapter three, part A. analyses the notion and the principles of conservation while it describes the stages of a typical working operation on a stone. In part B., each of these stages is analyzed in detail, in accordance with the works of relief 2409 + 2401 + 2672 + Χ.Α.. Finally, the conclusions of this project are presented.
