heal.abstract	Η συγκεκριμένη πτυχιακή εργασία έχει ως θέμα την δημιουργία ηλεκτρονικών βιβλίων στα μαθήματα Πολιτική Πληροφόρησης, Ψηφιακές Βιβλιοθήκες και Οργάνωση Πληροφοριών - Μεταδεδομένα για το τμήμα Βιβλιοθηκονομίας και Συστημάτων Πληροφόρησης του ΤΕΙ Αθήνας. Αρχικά γίνεται μια εκτενή αναφορά σε θέματα όπως ηλεκτρονικό βιβλίο και ιστορικό πλαίσιο, ανάπτυξη ηλεκτρονικών βιβλίων στην ακαδημαϊκή κοινότητα τόσο του εξωτερικού όσο και του εσωτερικού, λογισμικό, μορφότυπο και πρότυπα που χρησιμοποιούνται για την δημιουργία e-book, καθώς και σύγκριση μεταξύ έντυπου και ηλεκτρονικού βιβλίου. Στην συνέχεια εξετάζεται ο τρόπος με τον οποίο μπορεί να δημιουργηθεί ένα ηλεκτρονικό βιβλίο μέσω ειδικού προγράμματος και τα χαρακτηριστικά του. Τέλος, υλοποιείται σε πρακτικό επίπεδο η δημιουργία των ηλεκτρονικών βιβλίων στα συγκεκριμένα μαθήματα, μέσω ανοικτού εξειδικευμένου μη εμπορικού λογισμικού. Τα λογισμικά τα οποία επιλέχθηκαν για αυτόν τον σκοπό είναι το Sigil μέσω του οποίου γίνεται η δημιουργία των βιβλίων σε ePUB και το Booktype για την δημοσίευση σε HTML5 μορφή. Τα συμπεράσματα τα οποία προκύπτουν τόσο από την μελέτη όσο και από την έρευνα είναι ενδιαφέροντα και δηλώνουν μια τάση της ακαδημαϊκής κοινότητας προς το ηλεκτρονικό βιβλίο, καθώς και μια εξέλιξη στον παραδοσιακό εκπαιδευτικό τρόπο διδασκαλίας.	el
heal.abstract	The featured Bachelor Thesis is focuses on the creation of electronic books relating to the courses of Information Policy, Digital Libraries and Organization of Information – Metadata for the Department of Library Science and Information Systems of the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Athens. First, there is a comprehensive reference to topics such as e-books and historical context, the development of e-books in the academic community both external and internal, software, formats and standards used to create e-book, and a comparison between printed book and e-book. Then it is discusses how the creation of an e-book through a special program and its features is able to be achieved. Finally, it is practical implemented the creation of electronic notes on specific subjects through an open source non-specialized commercial software. The software’s that have been chosen for this purpose are Sigil and Booktype, through which the conversion of books in ePub and HTML5 format respectively. The conclusions arising from both the study and the research are interesting and show a trend in academia to the e-book and evolution in traditional educational methods of teaching, as well.	en
